Learnership Overview
Sibanye-Stillwater is inviting applications for the Learnership 18.2 – Plating programme at its Platinum Rustenburg operations. This learnership is designed for unemployed youth who wish to pursue a career in metalwork, specifically plating within the mining industry.
The programme offers a balance of theoretical instruction and hands-on practical training, equipping successful candidates with the knowledge and skills needed for a future in the metallurgical field.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
• Grade 12/N3 Certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science
• Must be unemployed at the time of application
• Must be a South African citizen
• Preferably reside in the Rustenburg area or surrounding communities
• Must not have previously participated in a similar learnership programme
• Willingness to commit to the full duration of the learnership
• Strong interest in technical skills and metalwork
Key Responsibilities
Selected learners will be required to:
• Participate fully in all aspects of the training programme
• Attend theoretical training and workplace practicals as scheduled
• Adhere to all Sibanye-Stillwater safety protocols and operational procedures
• Complete required assessments, logbooks, and evaluations
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop

Remuneration and Benefits
