About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and service-oriented Food & Beverage Waiter to join our team in Johannesburg. As a Food & Beverage Waiter, you will play an important role in ensuring each guest receives prompt, friendly, and efficient service throughout their dining experience. From setting tables and presenting menus to delivering food and handling requests, your contribution will reflect the service standards of a top-class hospitality brand.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and provide menus and relevant information
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar
• Deliver food and drinks in a timely manner while ensuring proper presentation and guest satisfaction
• Clear and reset tables swiftly between service rounds
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dining and service areas at all times
• Provide recommendations and handle guest inquiries or special requests with professionalism
• Collaborate closely with kitchen and fellow service staff to maintain a smooth workflow
• Uphold all health, hygiene, and safety regulations as per hotel policy
• Report guest feedback, complaints, or issues promptly to supervisors for resolution
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is advantageous
• Confident communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
• Ability to stay composed and focused during high-volume service periods
• Excellent team player with a strong sense of responsibility
• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and service
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
