As a Merchandiser, you will work closely with store management to ensure that all product displays are up to standard and that products are easily accessible for customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Product Display Management: You will be responsible for creating visually appealing product displays, ensuring that products are always attractively presented and available for purchase.
- Stock Replenishment: Regularly checking stock levels and replenishing shelves to maintain availability, ensuring that popular items are always in stock.
- Product Rotation: Ensuring that stock is rotated regularly to promote the sale of older items and prevent waste, especially for perishable goods.
- Customer Assistance: You will provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with product inquiries, offering guidance on product features, and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
- Inventory Monitoring: You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the store management. Timely communication regarding stock issues will be crucial.
- Promotional Setup: Helping set up promotional displays and in-store marketing material to drive sales and awareness of new or featured products.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operations within the store, including communicating stock needs, display issues, and customer feedback.
- Health & Safety: Ensuring that all health and safety guidelines are followed when handling products, including proper lifting techniques and safe storage practices for all items.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in merchandising, retail, or a related field is advantageous, though not required. We welcome individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the retail industry.
- Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in product presentation.
- Physical Stamina: The role requires you to be physically active, as you will be on your feet for extended periods and occasionally required to lift and move stock.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on the store’s needs.
