As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a highly organised, dependable, and self-motivated Warehouse Clerk to join our Centurion branch. Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Clerk plays an essential role in the smooth running of our day-to-day warehouse operations. This position involves receiving and dispatching stock, overseeing inventory processes, coordinating delivery schedules, and managing a small team of general assistants. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and committed to operational excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Clerk at Euro Bath & Tile, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Inventory & Stock Management:
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels at all times
- Conduct stock takes and manage cycle counts, including preparation and reporting
- Log received goods, inspect deliveries, and report discrepancies or damaged stock
- Organise products efficiently in storage and ensure proper product rotation
- Ensure that stock areas are neat, labelled, and clearly organised
Receiving and Dispatch:
- Oversee the receiving process of inbound deliveries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Verify product quantities, codes, and quality against delivery documents
- Supervise the packing and preparation of outbound goods for client deliveries
- Ensure that all orders are checked thoroughly and dispatched in a timely manner
- Monitor dispatch documentation, including invoices and delivery notes
Delivery Scheduling & Fleet Coordination:
- Prepare and plan delivery routes in coordination with the sales and customer service teams
- Liaise with drivers and clients to confirm delivery times and manage changes
- Manage the schedule and general maintenance records of delivery vehicles
- Track and record vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and service intervals
Team Coordination & Housekeeping:
- Assign daily tasks and monitor progress of warehouse general assistants
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies within the warehouse
- Provide training and support to new or junior staff when required
- Report any operational issues, staff concerns, or improvement ideas to management
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential
- Post-matric qualification in Management, Logistics, or related field (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license (Code B) – required for occasional site and delivery-related visits
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, stock control, or logistics environment
- Experience in inventory control, stock audits, and dispatch coordination
- Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is preferred
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Ability to work with inventory systems and tracking tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (second language an advantage)
