Position Overview:
Edge is currently looking for a dynamic, confident, and enthusiastic individual to join our growing promotional team as an In-Store Brand Ambassador in Midrand. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about marketing, retail, and customer interaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing a well-known brand within a retail environment, engaging directly with shoppers, and acting as the face and voice of the brand. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to gain or expand their experience in sales, promotions, or brand representation while working in a fast-paced and target-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Proactively approach and interact with customers in-store, introduce them to the brand, and clearly communicate the benefits and features of the products.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the brand’s offerings to answer questions confidently and make personalized recommendations.
- Sales Support: Motivate shoppers to make purchases by promoting current offers, explaining product benefits, and addressing any concerns or objections.
- Merchandising: Ensure that the brand’s products are properly displayed, shelves are neatly arranged, and promotional materials are visible and attractive.
- Feedback Reporting: Capture and report customer feedback, buying behavior, and product performance to the team leader or store manager.
- Performance Monitoring: Achieve set targets for daily engagements and conversions, and report metrics in line with the company’s KPIs.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside store staff and other brand ambassadors to ensure a cohesive brand message and seamless shopper experience.
- Professional Representation: Always maintain a high level of professionalism, appearance, and conduct in line with the brand’s image and values.
Candidate Requirements:
- Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification is required.
- Proven experience in promotions, customer service, retail, or sales is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to interact with a wide range of customers confidently and respectfully.
- Energetic, approachable, and proactive personality with a genuine passion for engaging with people.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Neat, well-groomed, and presentable appearance at all times.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, depending on store schedules.
- Residing in or near Midrand will be an added advantage.
