About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and technically knowledgeable Sales Representative to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical sales, particularly within the CNC machinery space, and will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle—from identifying leads to closing deals and offering after-sales support.
This role requires more than just selling; it demands a consultative approach, where understanding the client’s needs, recommending suitable solutions, and providing long-term value are central to your success. The ability to provide support outside of regular working hours will be highly valued, as our customers rely on rapid response and dedicated service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Representative, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Client Prospecting & Acquisition:
Identify and reach out to potential customers in various industries, including metal fabrication, automotive, construction, and manufacturing. Use a combination of cold calls, networking, referrals, and online research to generate quality leads. - Product Presentation & Demonstration:
Arrange in-person or virtual product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our CNC laser cutting and bending equipment. Tailor each demonstration to suit the specific needs of the client. - Sales Conversion & Negotiation:
Prepare and deliver detailed quotations, negotiate terms of sale, and work toward converting prospects into loyal customers. Provide insight into pricing structures, financing options, and delivery schedules. - Technical Support & After-Sales Service:
Act as the first point of contact for customer queries and technical support—both during and outside of standard office hours. Work closely with our technical team to ensure customer satisfaction post-installation. - Relationship Management & Retention:
Maintain ongoing communication with existing clients to encourage repeat business, upgrades, and referrals. Establish trust and position yourself as a reliable partner in their business operations. - Market Intelligence & Reporting:
Stay up to date with market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback. Report on sales metrics, forecast trends, and offer suggestions for continuous improvement and product development.
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Experience:
Minimum of 1–2 years’ hands-on experience in selling CNC machinery, laser cutting systems, or similar industrial equipment. Familiarity with machine operations and client training is highly beneficial. - Technology-Ready:
Must own a reliable laptop for daily work, reporting, and client presentations. - Licensing:
Valid South African driver’s license is essential, as the role requires frequent travel for client visits and on-site demonstrations. - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be fluent in English and capable of engaging with clients at both technical and executive levels. - Customer Service:
Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset. You should be comfortable offering support beyond business hours when required. - Work Ethic:
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and capable of working independently without close supervision. You should be able to manage your schedule, sales pipeline, and customer follow-ups efficiently.

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
- Saturday: 08:00 AM – 02:00 PM
- Additional Hours: Flexibility required for after-hours client support when necessary
