Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, and standard Saturday and Sunday overtime for special functions or thorough cleaning
Afrika Tikkun Cleaner is a meticulous role where you will be disinfecting and cleaning every one of the facilities and preparing them every day. You will be keeping every department of the facilities clean to high standards like offices, classes, meeting rooms, kitchen, bathroom, and outside as a Cleaner.
You won’t be infecting your workers with germs
Be guest and children-friendly to work and learn in. The practitioner is required to be welcoming, trustworthy, and proficient.
Main Duties:
Clean the floor as often as possible by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing it.
Dusting of window sills, shelves, office equipment, doors, and workstations/desks for cleaning
Toilet cleaning and toilet facilities that are fully supplied (toilet facilities, soap, towels) at hallway level
The dust bins and rubbish bins need to be cleaned to sort waste into an orderly process of disposing of it
Disinfect the kitchen, dining room, corridors, and waiting area
Clean partition glass and windows alternatively
Keep normal cleaning supplies on hand, renew and report to supervisor as supplies run low.
Any safety, repair, or maintenance concerns must be reported to General Direct Facility Manager
Letter-perfect, always according to health and safety regulation, e.g., use of protective equipment, cleaning agents.
Provide time for striping and setup before as well as after meetings/events
- Perform deep cleaning exercise on school holiday breaks, special work, or as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirement: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is preferred)
- At least 1 year of prior experience cleaning within an institution or professional environment
General cleaning equipment and experience
Sanitation and hygiene legal experience
Precise reading and writing at suitable professional standards of written as well as oral English or any mother language regulation
Physically capable of undertaking physical cleaning work
Dedicated to being a punctual and responsible person
Be willing to work non-traditional Saturday or overtime shifts as needed
Skills and Competencies
Very high level of alertness

Salary Scale
R4,500 – R6,000 per month
