Role Overview
Volvo Group is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Parts Salesman to join their team in Alrode. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing parts sales, processing orders, and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries and build strong client relationships.
- Receive, process, and follow up on parts sales orders.
- Prepare accurate quotes and invoices.
- Monitor and update the parts catalogue.
- Manage backorders and ensure timely delivery or collection.
- Assist with stock-taking and general parts department operations.
- Maintain proper filing systems for quotes, invoices, and customer orders.
- Meet sales targets and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and workplace safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- At least 3 years of experience in a parts sales environment
- Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Technical background is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative ability
- Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
