As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a highly organized and dedicated HR Administrator to join our dynamic Human Resources team. Job Summary:
The HR Administrator will play a critical role in supporting the HR Manager and the broader Human Resources team with day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will ensure all HR functions are handled efficiently, from maintaining accurate employee records to supporting recruitment, payroll, training, and compliance processes.
You will act as a key liaison between HR and employees, ensuring that all HR administrative processes are executed with the highest levels of confidentiality, professionalism, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee information, contracts, and personal files both physically and electronically.
- Prepare new hire documents, contracts, and onboarding packs.
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding and induction process for new employees.
- Assist in the administration of performance management processes.
- Manage the employee exit process including exit interviews, clearance, and system updates.
- Support payroll by providing timely and accurate employee information such as attendance, leave balances, promotions, and terminations.
- Draft and distribute HR-related communications such as policy updates, announcements, and employee notifications.
- Assist with the coordination and logistics of training sessions, workshops, and staff events.
- Track employee probation periods and coordinate performance reviews.
- Monitor and manage employee benefits administration (medical aid, pension fund, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies at all times.
- Handle HR-related queries from employees and escalate complex issues to the HR Manager when necessary.
- Generate HR reports as requested, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and employee engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
- A diploma or degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience working in an HR administrative or HR officer role.
- Knowledge of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience working with HR Information Systems (HRIS) will be advantageous.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Experience with payroll systems or basic payroll administration will be beneficial.
